The Hunt
Pheasant Hunting
On all of our upland hunts, you will be accompanied by friendly and knowledgeable guides and the finest dogs in the field. We generally hunt groups of six or less to ensure a personal, safe and enjoyable hunt. You will hunt all types of cover, including food plots, CRP grasslands, tree rows and cattail sloughs, while chasing the elusive ringneck on our 8,000 acre farm. We guarantee an ample opportunity to shoot your limit of pheasants. We have 960 acres in preserve to extend your hunting season from September 1st through March 31. Your well-trained dog is welcome.
Waterfowl Hunting
We offer quality duck and goose hunts over decoys in the heart of the Central Flyway. You will hunt on a variety of ponds and sloughs, on the shores of a large lake or in crop fields. The majority of ducks taken in past years have been mallards, gadwall, widgeon and teal. The late season diver hunting can be fast and furious as well as cold and windy. Canada, Snow and Blue geese complete the waterfowl offerings here.

What to pack
South Dakota weather can vary 50 degrees in any given day. Dressing in layers helps to keep you comfortable in the field. The following items are recommended for your hunt:
- Waterproof hunting boots
- Waterproof hunting jacket
- Waterproof pants
- Camouflage gear for waterfowlers
- Canvas front pants or chaps
- Shooting gloves
- Blaze orange shirt, vest or hat (Available at OTL Pro Shop)
- Gun - 12,16 or 20 gauge (Shells available at OTL Pro Shop)
- Thermal underwear
- Protective eyewear (Available at OTL Pro Shop)
- Hearing protection (Ear plugs compliments of OTL)
- Casual clothing
- Swimsuit (towels provided)
- Camera, batteries and film
